I just bought a (albeit used) DEC VR290 monitor for my VAXstation II/GPX. One annoying picture quality problem is that features being displayed (like characters) bleed somewhat off to the right of themselves and although I have adjusted the focus inside, the characters seem less defined (e.g. not as sharp) as I think they should. It is almost as if the video signal from the MicroVAX is reaching the monitor attenuated to a noticable degree. The BC18V cable I received that interconnects the two in my opinion is amazingly long (I imagine the longest they made it), were there shorter ones made? I've spent quite a while attempting to correct the problem by making adjustments inside the monitor but I can't get the bleeding problem to go away (nor it focused better than it is). It really looks to me like a signal strength problem, although I obviously could be wrong. Do all VR290's exhibit this behaviour or is this a specific problem that can be corrected (aside from replacing it)? Thanks. -- +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ Michael F.
