Aj- Check out the "/etc/setld" command. With it, you can find out exactly where xhost and friends are in the distribution. xhost isn't a vanilla Ultrix app. As a matter of fact, most of the things in /usr/bin/X11 aren't automatically put in with Ultrix. They are in the subset called "UDXUNMIT420", which is the unsupported MIT X11 Components. Don't be fooled by the "unsupported". They all work, for all I've seen at least. It is on the Ultrix CDROM. To get a listing of all the files in that subset, you can use setld: % /etc/setld -i UDXUNMIT420 You'll get a list of all files in that subset. % /etc/setld -i You'll get a list of all subsets, installed and uninstalled. % /etc/setld You'll get a little help in using the setld command.
