In article <1142@racerx.bridge.COM>, ken@Bridge.COM (Ken Hardy) writes... #I'm being told time and again in mail messages that Multinet *does* #have SMTP. We've just done some further investigating ourselves, and #discover that we have version 1.3 that does not do SMTP at all. We're #looking into upgrading. I'm being told time and time again to be nice to novices. This is your TCP/IP for VMS (MultiNet): V3.1 shipping SMTP, NFS client, R services, etc, etc, tn3270... This is your TCP/IP for VMS on drugs (UCX): V1.3A or 1.3 with FTP server security bugs Nothing really there, no nameservice... no support... Get the message? #Thanks for pointers to NNTP clients for VMS. Any besides ANU News and #MX, and XRN? I'll look into those. So you asked for an NNTP client and someone gave you THREE, and before looking into those you want more??? And you don't yet know what software you're running to have TCP/IP so you won't be able to build any one of those three anyway... great! Ehud -- Ehud Gavron (EG76) gavron@ACES.COM
