We do not know exactly when it started. But it could have been because of Ultrix 4.2a. On a 5000/240 the errors were infrequent. On a 5000/200 they occurred twice an hour on average. It seemed tied the the # of seconds on the clock. IE: the occurance pattern was like: 4:28:43 4:58:43 5:28:43 5:43:43 6:28:43 ... The seconds # changed every time we rebooted it. Digital replaced the system board on both. I just checked. The 240 is OK now, the 200 just spat out 2 errors today after being up for 2 days. They had the same # of seconds. We have another 200 with no problem. We have other 240s with no problem. So, you tell me? Charles Allen CBALLEN@CLEMSON.CLEMSON.EDU
