VMS Fortran vs. Ada, speed?

I am working on a large software project which will be coded in DEC's Ada
under VMS. The target machine is unknown yet, but will likely be a VAX 6000
series or better. We have prototype code which is written in DEC Fortran,
and would like to use it as a crude benchmark to get an idea if our final Ada
code can run fast enough to do the job (coding is not to be completed until 3
years from now). Does anyone know of a comparison table or journal article
which compares the execution speeds of the various DEC compilers,
specifically Ada and Fortran (maybe C too)? I realize execution benchmarks
vary widely based on what operations are performed, but I was hoping some
ballpark performance measures exist (similar to comparing different VAX
machines based on the VUP rating). Any pointers are greatly appreciated.
