Hello all!
I am working on a project for monitoring remote VMS systems and have hit
a snag that the big gray wll has not helped me on. I want to capture OPCOM
messages and send them back to an Ultrix machine's syslogd. I have the
transport mechanism in place and I figured that all I would have to do is
create a mailbox and give the equivalent of
DEFINE/USER SYS$COMMAND MBAxxx:
REPLY/ENABLE
The result of this is nothing. There is no messages about "Operator MBAxxx
has been enabled", no error messages, and $SEVERITY=1.
My question(s):
Can a mailbox device be enabled as an operator terminal? If so, how. If
not, can anybody suggest an alternate approach? I really do want to keep
operator.log in place and I really do not want to read operator.log through
this program.
Thanks.
Doug
