Problem with xrn-6.17 on DECstation, Cannot perform malloc

I can't get xrn work on my DECstation 5000/120. When invoked,
it takes long time and returns error:-

X Toolkit Error: Cannot perform malloc

Can anyone points me what is wrong?

The system information is:-

ULTRIX V4.2A(Rev. 47) System #3
uname -a
ULTRIX phcmde 4.2 0 RISC
