Trimarchi Optical Drive Question

#3103

I recently received a Trimarchi Read Write Optical drive to put on a DECstation
3100. It seems to work fine as long as the disk is not ejected while it is
mounted. In fact I managed to crash the 3100 while ejecting the disk during
a mkdir. Due to this I would like to be able to disable the eject button.
Has anyone done this already? All you have to do is send a SCSI command to
the drive. Is there any way to do this without rewriting the driver?
