Hi Ultrix/Decstation managers; I am trying to help one of my colleagues to read from a Digitizier, attached to a DecStation 5000. There are two ports marked at the back, port 1 and port 2. We started out by assuming port 2 to correspond to /dev/tty00, we defined the entry in the /etc/ttys file for continous reading from the digitizier. He makes an ioctl call to /dev/tty00 setting it up for ready only, but it fails and comes back with status -1, the errno is 25, which I believe is, cann't talk to device, after spending some time, we are not sure if we are using the correct /dev/tty** file to set and read. If anybody has a clue to the settings for Digitizier or the correspondence between /dev/tty** and ports at the back, please send me mail, it will lifts the spirits of the hardware manual-less user. Thanks cosc4hf@menudo.uh.edu aditya
