My DEC sales droids have been expousing the virtues of running the DEC printserver20 from our VAXs ( VMS ) over running them from our normal Unix ( TCP/IP -lpd ) interface. Could anyone out there give me their impressions/experiences concerning this printer? We would prefer to run from the normal lpd interface. Also, an aside, does dec support tcp/ip lpd type printing from their VAX VMS machines?
