I have not seen any direct comparison of the code from the 2 compilers on the
same benchmark. But I do know that both compilers do many of the optimizations
that you might expect and generate very good code. I would not expect any 
degradation in speed due to the compilers, except the extent to which some
algorithms may be better coded in one or the other.

Of course, your mileage may vary.
