What happened with your Oracle installation?

I've installed and administered two large Oracle databases on Sun equipment.
Both installations went smoothly and I have few problems keeping the
respective databases up.

I think that Oracle seems to be able to comp up, shut down, and recover
from disk failures fairly smoothly
