Boston Business Computing has a product called VCL that provides a DCL like
shell in Ultrix/Unix. I don't know how well it works, but the product exists.
Along the same lines, a/Soft has a product called nu/TPU that emulates TPU on
Ultrix/Unix. DEC also has DECTPU, which is the same thing, but engineered by
Digital. Both products allow an Ultrix/Unix user to use the EVE editor.

This allows an Ultrix/Unix system to access files on a VMS disk server. The
opposite function - A VMS NFS client that allows a VMS user to access files on an
Ultrix/Unix host does not exist in UCX as far as I know. TGV's Multinet provides
this functionality, though at a price (UCX is basically free to educational sites
under the CSLG.)

Various companies (BBC, a/Soft, TGV and others) provide tools that either make
VAX/VMS interoperate better with Ultrix/Unix or make the Ultrix/Unix environment
look more like VMS. These companies have an opportunity to sell their products
because the two operating systems don't interoperate perfectly "out of the box,"
despite nifty (!?) things like DECwindows, DECTPU and UCX.
