Hello,
The following program compiles and runs fine on my Decstation 5000/240
running Ultrix 4.2.
main() {
vfork();
pause();
}
However, from then on /bin/ps prints up the following:
$ ps
PID TT STAT TIME COMMAND
Segmentation fault
$
Can anyone explain this problem? Is it unique to my system, or does everyone
have this prob? (Also another problem is that sendmail gets the following
error no matter what I do, *unless* I trace it!
pid 29155 (sendmail) was killed on an unaligned access, at pc 0x40ccd8
