TECO . I need to know more about it.

 Hello Netters,

I have a lot of programs written on a DATA GENERAL system using
their SPEED utility to manipulate text files. It seems that DG's
SPEED is a take-off of old-fashioned TECO. The commands are very
similar and at first glance one might mistake code to be for the
   other one.

I would like to convert many of these to TECO. TECO and SPEED
use the very fewest keystrokes of any editor I have ever seen.
The commands are, for the most part, single characters, and success
of certain commands can be passed on numerically to subsequent
commands. Nested loops are a dream. Powerful, simple, fast, but
unforgiving. SPEED has no UNDO commands. Don't know about TECO.

Trouble is, it seems we have no manuals left. The blasted Gray
Wall in the DCL manual pg 162 says "see the PDP TECO manual". What
   a tick-off!

Does anyone out there have some TECO documentation they could
   mail me?

     Thanks very much.
