Yes, just did 3 installs from a CDROM onto 5000 series machines in the last
couple of weeks.

Sorry, I don't know the answer to your other questions...  I usually find
that I don't like the standard disk partitioning scheme, and prefer to 
customize based on my past experience with the usage of the machines, so
I personally would never choose factory installed software...
