The following Q-Bus controllers are for sale -

Emulex SC03-BXC, SC03-BXG

I've replaced my SMD controller with something a
little more modern, and no longer need these controllers.

Specifications:

These controllers interface the Q-bus (PDP/MicroVax) with
industry-standard SMD drives. (Sorry, they do NOT support
ESMD drives / drives with transfer rates > 1.6 MB/Second.)

Up to two drives per controller, each drive may have different
geometry. These controllers support numerous SMD drives, with
varying head/cylinder counts, so contact me for details.

* Not every SMD drive is supported by this controller. *

Some popular drives supported are:

Fujitsu 2351A (Eagle,) 2312, 2322, CDC 9762, 9766, 9715-340,
                                   CDC 9760, 9771, 9730-160,
Priam 807, 3350, NEC 2257, D2351, Ampex 330, and
Hitachi DK512S-17.

Emulations provided are: RM03/RM05/RM80
                          RP04/RP05/RP06

Most emulations are perfect, and require no patching,
save for diagnostic test programs. A small portion
require software patching, due to drive size differences.

Both units are 22 bit, and have an on-board bootstrap,
and a line time clock register. Both options are switch selectable.
Bootstraps are CURRENT, and support 11/23 and 11/73 CPU/memory testing.
Boot devices supported are: RM02, 03, 05, 80, (DB)
                             RP04, 05, 06, (DR)
                             RK06, 07, (DK)
                             RL01, 02, (DL)
                             TM11, (MT)
                             TS11, (MS)
                             MSCP (DU)

Both units support dual porting, although the -BXC has a
firmware error which can cause problems with dual-porting.
(This is normally not a problem for the average user.)

Disk packs formatted with this controller are media-compatible
with the equivalent DEC packs, when the appropriate drives are used.

The units come with manuals, but NO CABLES. One 60-pin data cable,
and one 26-pin (one 26-pin per drive) control cable are required.

Additionally, I will warrant both controllers functional for a
period of 30 days. This warranty is limited to REPLACEMENT ONLY.

SETUP ASSISTANCE IS INCLUDED.

I'm asking $85 for the SC03-BXC, and $125 for the SC03-BXG.

Shipping/COD fee in continental US is included, CANADA will
have to pre-pay (unit will not ship until funds are received.)

I will also consider trades for the following equipment -

DEC LPV11 (M8027), or
GENERAL ROBOTICS (GENROCO) LPV11, or
Any 3rd party LPV11-compatible Centronics interface,
which fully emulates the DEC LPV11. I am NOT interested
in serial versions of the LPV, unless it fully supports
paper out, and printer busy. . .
