I am having problems with a 3287 printer emulator (xpe3287) from SSI. The emulator works fine on my bisync lines but when I try to run it on my sna lines, it will not start up correctly. All of my host applications on the mainframe side are genned for a printer on the last LU. The last LU on the bisync side is 31 (1F)hex. The last LU on the sna side is 65 (41)hex. My problem is that in /usr/COMM/adm/3270 where I have my configuration files (bsc.pc and sna.pc) anytime I put in a device id greater than 31 I receive the error: power on reject - invalid host identification. When I put in a device ID under 31, I am able to start the emulator but I cannot print. I have a couple of questions: 1. Why do I get this error when I do my start3287? 2. When I do a start3287 with a device ID under 31, why will print not work? I have been in contact with the folks on the mainframe side and they swear that the gens are correct. Can anybody out there tell me what I am doing wrong??? For background info I am running a DEC 3360 with 2 systech comm boards installed. My software level is 4.52. Thanks in advance, Chris
