Anyone have any info on the performance of VMS 5.5 vs VMS 5.5/POSIX and VMS 5.5/POSIX vs Ultrix/POSIX? Someone gave me a heads up that fork()'s were a rather expensive call under VMS. There may be other performance issues as well. Your input is welcome.
