The likely reaction, and the reaction I would have if I ran a software
company subject to such a lawsuit, would be to make sure all customers sign
a license acknowledging that there are likely to be bugs in the software
product, those bugs may cause loss of revenue, and fixing bugs may take a
long time. Then I would raise the price of the software and charge for
support to cover my liability insurance and the increased manpower needed to
fix bugs faster. I would certainly not fire the lawyers just when I need
them the most.
