Sethost has a text upload/download feature with CTRL-F1 and Shift-F1. To send a text file, prepare Ultrix to receive a file by typing: cat > foo.text Then transmit the file with Shift-F1 (you will be prompted for a DOS pathname). To transmit binary files this way, you must first uuencode them. To retrieve text file from Ultrix to the PC, start the Receive File feature with CTRL-F1 and then just cat out the file on Ultrix. When the transmission is done, toggle the CTRL-F1 off. You may need to edit out a gratuitous shell prompt at the beginning or end of a file transmitted this way. Barry Kort barry@michael.ai.mit.edu
