Is there a way to connect anything bigger? You find a bigger drive and I'll let you know 8-). The RD54 has 15 data heads (the 16th is used for the servo) and the 2000 can select 16 heads. The RD54 has 17 sectors/track, which is the design spec for MFM drives and can't be changed in the 2000. The RD54 has 1224 (or 1226, depending on who you ask) cylinders, which is about the only place things could increase usefully. However, vendors have increased the bits/track before increasing cylinders, so you'll be hard-pressed to find an MFM drive with more cylin- ders.
