Recently errors like these have been reported on our 5000/200.
These errors are reported by users and don't seem to appear in the error logger.
This was the output after "ls -l":

*bug.chk.sgi: File table overflow
*yp_pass.chk: File table overflow
*extra_src: File table overflow
*total 546
*getsvc: stat of /etc/svc.conf failed
*getsvc: stat failed: File table overflow
*getsvc: stat of /etc/svc.conf failed
*getsvc: stat failed: File table overflow
*98797 4 -rwxr-xr-x 1 410 15 3228 Mar 10 1992 MANIFEST*
*getsvc: stat of /etc/svc.conf failed
*and so on....
*

I notice from the error logger that it says it is out of gnodes
"uerf -R" produced output like this:
						  uerf version 4.2-011 (16)

Can someone tell me what is needing done? I suspect the kernel might need
rebuilding but what changes need to be made? What table needs to be made bigger?
Or is one of the file systems needing rebuilt? df -i -l gives

which looks ok

Thanks in advance,

PS The only real change to the system in the last few days is that I added
automount maps to Yellow Pages.
