You'll need to upgrade to Ultrix 4.2 or greater to make full use of your
disk. Ultrix 4.1 does not handle disks above ~1.2gb.

From the Ultrix FAQ (which hasn't been posted recently):

19. Why doesn't ULTRIX 4.1 work with disks bigger than 1.2GBytes?

There is a bug in the V4.1 SCSI driver that will only allow it to read
something like (2 ** 21) or (2 ** 20) LBNs. After that it wraps
around to the beginning of the disk. It is fixed in V4.2.
