>Which RAID was it? The article doesn't say, but there were two separate DEC RAIDs with problems. The article reads: ...."It turns out that a known engineering fault exists in Digital's StorageWorks RAID system. Remove and replace a drive too often and you'll blow a diode that in turn brings the entire system to a screeching halt. But there is more. The unit on display in the Digital booth was having fits as well. And to make matters even worse, the StorageWorks product manager admitted onstage during his Test Center interview that the problem had been recognized for nearly the entire four months since the company began shipping the product." The headline of this article is "Mum's the Word: Keeping StorageWorks flaw quiet--Digital Loses Goodwill." The rest of the article is a rather hard-hitting editorial about the DEC "sinking ship" and what this all means. I would imagine Mr. Palmer is not too happy about this article, or the situation. I'm surprised that there hasn't been one of those hourly DEC press releases on this yet. I imagine there will be a lot of touch questions about this topic at DECUS. Mike Willett
