Thanks to everyone who responded, especially Bill Wyatt and Mike Valenza, who
pretty much confirmed most of what I thought I saw.  Yes, it was (at the time)
a DEC building and labeled as such; no, it was NOT the Maynard HQ; yes, it was
a building leased by DEC from XEROX in Waltham off I-95, NOT the outer loop;
yes, it is a "modern" looking building, not an old brick structure; and yes, it
was used as the set for the Jefferson Institute in _Coma_, which was shot there
and several other places in the Boston area.  (Rent the movie, or for that
matter, see it on Showtime, and relive some of them old memories!)
     It's stuck in my memory for all these years, not simply because of the
coincidence of seeing the movie near the building, but because my job at the
time involved a lot of Navy Research Vessel shipboard time using PDP-9's.  I
figured that the bodies in the basement were potential PDP-9 users awaiting
lobotomies.  <:-)
