Well, I guess I was insufficiently clear.  My post was in followup to a post from a fellow at
Storage Computer Corp, in New Hampshire, who make something called Raid 7.  So
clearly the "you" in my post referred to SCC, who doesn't make drives, and not to
DEC which, of course, does make drives.  In fact the whole point of my post was
to question whether a disk drive operation would be a good fit with SCC, never
mind the size differential, which is considerable.
