Help with Maxtor XT-2190

I managed to scrounge a Maxtor XT-2190 from an old VAXstation 2000. I
would like to attach this disk to my SGI 4D/35. Unfortunately I have no documentation on this disk, so I would appreciate it if anyone could help.

The disk does not appear to have the standard 50 pin SCSI connections. Instead
there is a 34pin connection and a 20pin connection (which resembles ESDI
connections) on the disk. There were some elctronics on the VAX station motherboard which interfaced this disk to the SCSI bus.

There are also some jumpers which may or may not need adjusting (to select the
SCSI id or to add/remove termination.)

J1: currently between pins C and 3,
JE: currently both pins connected,
JF: currently both pins connected,
J8: currently pins 4 and 5 connected.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Please respond by e-mail as I don't usually read this group.
