I don't know where to start, so I'm starting here! I work for a Temporary Agency in California and I need a DEC/VAX programmer who knows ACMS. Actually, i need like three or four (the more the merrier). Can anyone help me and guide me to where i could find such talent??? A USE group, Orgnaization, or even a person!! Any help would be great! I would expect to find a message such as yours in misc.jobs.contract, but with the title you have used it would be widely ignored (I am not trying to be harsh, just realistic). Postings of that nature should have a title such as: US-CA-cityname ACMS on DEC VAX where "cityname" is the community in which the work is to be done. There is some strange urge on the part of many agencies to make the title of such postings be "Great Opportunity" or some such, which will cause all to ignore it. Lead with the location, and fill out the title with the skills you need. Getting people to read your post (and that is a _very_ busy newsgroup) is the first step to finding a candidate.
