Roger,
Single underlining is no problem, since you just need to insert:
"<esc>&d0D" to enable the underline, and
"<esc>&d@" to disable the underline (<esc>=27, and don't type the quotes).
To get the escape character in dos, just type 027 on the numeric keypad
with the alt key held down.
Double underlining is rather more complex, since it entails repositioning
on the page and either underlining a second time, or drawing a line under
the underline, shifted down a few dots.
With the printer set to Courier non-proportional font, the following scheme
could be used (quotes used for clarity - don't type them):
"<esc>&f0S" ;push current position
"<esc>&d0D" ;enable single underline
"Greetings" ;the text
"<esc>&d@" ;disable underline
"<esc>&f1S" ;pop position (move to start of text again)
"<esc>&*p+5Y" ;move down 5 dots (1/60th of an inch)
"<esc>&d0D" ;enable underline again
" " ;9 underlined blanks superimposed on "Greetings"
"<esc>&d@" ;disable underline
"<esc>&*p-5Y" ;move back up
;erm...
;thats it !
The above scheme, only works with non-proportional fonts.
Codes must be typed exactly as above, with no spaces or new lines.
If you need more info, e-mail me.
Pete.
