* When I create audio-files on a CD-R with my HP8100i CD-rewriter, it
* always goes wrong, no matter what speed or buffer settings:
* 4X: the whole system hangs in the middle of recording, i cant even
* ctrl-alt-del anymore
* 2X: when recording, he plays an small instance of the music every
* 10-15 seconds
* when playing the cd, it's as if there are scratches on the
* surface, but it turns out there are some parts missing (he played
* them, i guess, instead of recording)
* 1X: almost good, but I still have the annoyances described at double
* speed (although much less)
*
* A strange thing I encountered is that my buffer level is constant at
* 100%.
* Is this normal?
* I've tried about everything to avoid buffer problems (in the options),
* but I can't figure out what's causing the problem, all it does is
* taking more time to copy a cd.
*
* pentium 200MMX
* 32MB RAM, 2GB HD, 18XCD-ROM, 8100i CD-RW
*
* Does anyone has a solution?

Do you copy from cd -> cd-r, or from hd -> cd-r?
Which program(s) do you use?
(Don't use the programs delivered with the hp8100i, I use nero and I don't have any problems.)
What is your ide-configuration?
