Printing with HP660C on Linux.

I'm running Mandrake 7 (v2) at the mo, and very nicely did it detect my
printer (RH 6.1 didn't). Having got this far, I have a couple of
questions. The Picante (GT) site lists it as working perfectly. Some
questions for those of you who may be able to tell me:

1. I selected the 500/6xx series driver over the auto-selected "HP
Deskjet Plus" driver 'cos I didn't know what the latter was. Did I goof?
Test page looks fine, but is the Plus driver better?

2. Should I/can I get a better driver?

3. How do I "get at" the various quality settings?

4. There is no #4.

It should be obvious that I'm a newbie, but I'm asking at this early
stage just for some basic info to point me in the right direction. I
have a habit of taking the longest route to a point directly in front of
me. And I wanna spit out my Windoze dummy!

Thanks for any suggestions,
Marcus.
