I have the following machine HP Kayak XU 6/300 (D4701N). I know the
motherboard has the 440LX AGPset. Does someone know who the manufacture and
type the motherboard is? Does HP make these? I opened up the box to see it
I could find it printed on the Motherboard and I cant tell with the way it
is installed and I dont want to have to remove it to find out. Typically is
there a standard on where this information is printed/stamped on the
motherboard? TIA

That motherboard is HP-designed, and uses a proprietary (non-ATX) format.
