On a VME with LynxOS 2.2.1 we are mounting with NFS the users disk installed on a HP-UX 9.05. This week we have discovered that a lot of file have been truncated. The size hasn't changed but if we read the files with cat -v we can see 20% of the lines completely and the rest of lines have been replaced by ^@ Even some files which have not been edited for a long time have been truncated. We don't know when it appeared !? By which mechanism it is possible ? And how to solve it ? Somebody else have met this problem ? thanks a lot to help me Philippe pmarcel@hpcoop01.cern.ch
