Hello,

I'm trying the use the SAF interface in order to authenticate a user
before accessing a resource in Java.

Here is the SAF information.

In the com.ibm.os390.security package,
PlatformAccessControl.checkPermission() takes strings of resourceType
and resourceName. However, I'm not able to find what strings it is
looking for in google as well as the IBM website or documents.

The only thing I found in SAF javaDoc is that checkPermission calls
the OS/390 services function __check_resource_auth_np(), which takes
security_class (1-8 chars) and a entity_name (1-246 chars) as
arguments. However, I'm also unable to find information about these
two strings. Since the Java SAF is only a wrapper, apparently
resourceType can be mapped to security_class and resourceName can be
mapped to entity_name.

Do anyone know anything more about the Java SAF Apis? Any help is
appreciated.
