I am a contractor, in the Dallas area, with 22 years with IBM midrange
systems(sys/32 - AS/400). My contract was ending and I had sent out several
resumes trying to find a good fit somewhere. I got a call from a HH the
other day. She had my resume, knew that I have 6 years on the AS/400 and 9
years on the Sys/38. She wanted to send me on a very lowball job interview.
When I asked her if her company had anyone that knew what the AS/400 market
was like, she became very belligerent. I told her that I would not be
working with her and told her thanks for calling but. . . She had the
balls to tell me that if "you had 15 - 20 years with the AS/400 I MIGHT be
able to help you." Goes to show that you need to interview the HH before
they send you out on a job interview.

My $.02
