SCI has the following client requirement:

Position: AS/400 Application Programmers
Location: Central Massachusetts
Employment Type: Direct (i.e. Permanent)

THE POSITION..........................
SCI is currently working with a progressive medical services firm in
Central Massachusetts offering exciting employment opportunities for
AS/400 Application Programmers. Working within a heterogeneous
technical environment you will be responsible for the design and
development of user-defined applications using RPG. Position involves
working closely with the end-user community to establish information
needs. You will be responsible for complete application development
from design to test.

THE QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED...............................
Applicants should posses 2-4 years' programming experience with RPG
III/400 in an AS/400 environment. Proven ability to facilitate the
design of new applications based on the needs of internal users and
mintain excellent communication and organizational skills.

THE ENVIRONMENT...................................
The environment is fast-paced, customer-service oriented whereby IS
provides support services throughout the organization. Our client has
made substantial investments in their IT infrastructure and is
migrating towards an open-system architecture allowing for
decentralized activities. Current technologies include: AS400's (3),
Alpha Servers, HP Servers, RISC6000 servers and numerous PC clients; a
LAN/WAN network which includes both Novell and NT servers; a recent
migration to a standard MS-Office desktop platform running
MS-Exchange.
