Advance apologies in case I have posted this somewhere I shouldn't have--I am
a Mac user, and thus rarely use the IBM USENET areas.
LapLink Pro for sale! This was purchased 2 1/2 weeks ago from PC Zones for
one-time use (my parents needed to move a large volume of data between an old
computer and a new one). I have all materials in the package, including an
unfilled out registration card. Basically, this package is as good as new.
In case you don't know, LapLink Pro is a terrific software and cables
package which allows you to quickly and easily transfer data between two
PC-Compatible computers. Transfers are accomplished through the serial or
parallel ports on the machines with the aid of high-quality, shielded cables.
LapLink Pro runs terrifically under DOS, and apparently also has a Windows
interface (we didn't need to use this). The Mouse is well supported in either
environment.
As best I could tell, LapLink Pro is also an excellent tool for
synchronizing data between two machines, and is far cheaper than having to
buy network cards.
First person to offer me $79 + COD Shipping (about $7 or so) gets the
package. Please send e-mail to sheckler@leland.stanford.edu or call (813)
482-0742. Any person who can come to Fort Myers, Florida, where I am killing
off my last few days of summer vacation, to pick up LL Pro will get
automatic priority (though I know this is extremely unlikely to happen).
Since the person who purchases this from me will have all the benefits of
purchasing LL Pro new, the price is non-negotiable.
