I am sick and tired of all this waiting or the APEX drive from Pinnacle... They started advertising the drive back in August 1995, and were supposed to ship it in November 1995. Now, the latest news is that they are aiming at early MAY !!!! TALK ABOUT VAPORWARE !!! So i am looking for something else, in the 1.3Gig range... I am setting my eyes on either the IBM or the NEC... However, i called several places, and i was told that the IBM model was obsolete and deffective!!!! Anyone knows what the deal is? I have seen the IBM drive at really good prices ($699), and that might be why... Too good to be true. Laurent. Thanks, Laurent. Me Too...This pinnacle thing is a JOKE!!! Pinnacle Micro has told me, since I have had a drive on order for now seven months, the following: November, December, middle January, Early February, middle February, early March--and it takes me six calls to a sales rep every time I call. They avoid talking to customers like the plague!!! Now they won't even say what is going on, except the drive isn't coming, and all orders should be switched to a 2.6 drive they are developing. I recommned the 2.6 GB from HP or Maxoptics---I have been reading news releases about these drives...and I am going to check into it!!! Rocket

I ordered this thing direct from Pinnacle...and they've been telling me, "yeah it's shipping in small quantities...uhm...a couple of weeks now..." And that has been the line for quite a number of weeks now. First, it was late November, then it was December, then it was February, then it was March 15, then it was sometime in April...and now I hear it's May???!??! Sheeze..by the time this thing comes out, the new crop of 5.2 gig drives will be out...*harrumph* If they're going to ship the thing late, say so...but don't just lead us by the ear... Talk about customer service...NOT! > >So i am looking for something else, in the 1.3Gig range... I am setting my eyes >on either the IBM or the NEC...
