I don't believe the monster controls desktop refresh rates.  I KNOW that the
Monster cannot do 60Hz at 512x384, it has to do 75Hz.  I'm doing 800x600
desktop with 85Hz refresh rate.  I'm almost sure the monster has nothing to
do with it.
