Chaintech 5AGM motherboard = a VIA chipset 66mhz bottleneck
AMD K6 266mhz = not PII capable?
That's the case, sadly; went over to Chaintechs's site and their
compatibility list says clearly "NO" on CPU's beyond K6-2 300.
Besides its a 66mhz bus system, overclockable to 83mhz.

I'll step over to the shoppe rite now and let'em have a go at it.
I may even upgrade to an EPOX 100mhz AT MB and a faster AMD chip just
for the heck of stretching compatibility limits and point a nose at
the roaring ATX crowd for a while.
Or...in these times of fast temptations the undersigned may pull
a nastie and aquire an Abit BX 6.2, a Celery 400 and An ATX Case
(...yes, I *know* I've crossed a line somewhere :)
...in any case (duh) I'm having an Upgrade Fest with BBQ & beer
afterwards. ..or maybe a slaughterfest with CFS or Falcon 4.0 on (or
off) ze net.etc.
