Load drivers for soundcard: maybe, maybe not ... depends.
I remember Mozart (OAK?) sound card, which MUST be initialized
with command line, that consist IDE port settings.
(BTW, what port/IRQ you use for CD-ROM ? What OS you use ?)
It also depends on driver. I have SBIDE.SYS which require to set
port/IRQ. But also I have Acer(?) CD driver that scans IDE lines
for ATAPI compliant device like CD-ROM and set port automatically.
