This was written to the Plextor support, but it seems they know next to
nothing on these problems.

I have a Plextor PlexWriter 12/10/32S.

Do these symptoms below indicate any possible fault with my drive ?

1. The tray vibrates when reaching full length.
My other drives (Pioneer DVD and Ricoh RW doesn't have this sort of
problem. Is it 'normal' for Plextor drives ?
It seems to me that the tray have a bad physical mechanism.

2. During reading some CDs, it seem the drive went on full speed, then
stopped, while the 'Disc' LED goes off and 'On' LED goes on; blinking
in-between. This triggers the dirty CD blue screen message from Windows.
Again, the same CD doesn't exhibit any problems in my other drives.

3. Audio extraction using "Exact Audio Copy" with 'Secure' parameter
only achieve a maximum of 5X down to 1X. Again, none of the other two
do this (Ricoh goes up to 15X using the same parameters, same CD).

Thank you.
