Panasonic CD586 problems

Hello,

I bought a Panasonic CR-586 drive and I have a couple of questions /
problems.

1. After playing two tracks of audio CDs the drive tries to read the disc,
fiddles around for a while then Windows CD player or Winamp (depending what
I am using) say "Data Or Disc Not Loaded" and I have to eject the disc
before I can play any more tracks.
2. There is a clicking sound when I first put in a CD. Is this normal?
3. On some data or mixed data / audio CDs the drive powers up and powers
down (it's quiet) but discs do not read when this is happening.
4. Sometimes I get the chosen sector is not readable (or something similar)
on some discs (that are readable in my burner and my 6x Panasonic).

Any suggestions? Please respond via email.
Thanks
