7502 & CDs not readable in Creative drives

Hi,

I bought a Panasonic 7502-B CDR two weeks ago and have had no problems with
it until now. The drive burns fine and everything, but when some friends
(both have Creative Labs 6x and 8x CD-ROMs) can't read the burned discs. The
sessions were closed properly and everything, and the fact that they can't
read my discs is really annoying. I have used Traxdata blues and Ricoh golds
for these discs.
Any suggestions? Is there a particular type of CDR disc that is best for
these drives?

Thanks, please email.

Dunno if this will help (or be relevent) but i have a Panny 7501 and I
brought a 24x speed Acer (or A-Open, whatever ya wanna call it) drive
this failed to read the CD's i burnt. Couple of friends also had Acer

I also have the 7501 writer (scsi) and the 24x Acer/A-open. I have no
trouble with the A-open cd drive reading discs that i burn on the
7501. I think the burning software i use has the option to "fixate
disc for use in a cdrom reader" - might this be related to the
problem?

Are you using "silver" disks?

I had a 7502 for a week, and after a pile of coasters i realised it did`nt
like the new silver disks.

I got rid of it cos` i much prefer the new silver disks to the now older
gold type.

Regards, pete
