reading cd-da w/Adaptec PCMCIA SCSI & Toshiba 3401B CD-ROM drive

Hi all,

I'm using the Adaptec SlimSCSI (APA-1460) PCMCIA SCSI card in my IBM
ThinkPad 750C. This setup works just fine, except for reading digital
audio from CDs (with no D/A & A/D conversion).

My CD-ROM drive is the Toshiba 3401B (with rev.0283 ROM), which surely
should be able to do this. I've tried several programs (CDDA, CDINFO,
DIDO, TARTARUG etc.) with no luck. The ASPI2DOS.SYS and ASPICD.SYS are
from EZ-SCSI v3.12, MSCDEX is v2.23 (I think) and SMARTDRV isn't loaded.

Any suggestions ? Does anyone know if there are newer Adaptec drivers ?
Also if anyone has succeeded in copying digital audio with the SlimSCSI
or some other PCMCIA SCSI card, please let me know.

Thanks in advance,
Teemu.
