Microsoft is supporting the K6-3D FPU MMX instructions in DirectX 6.0 That should produce a considerable increase in 3D game performance with K6-3D processors as long as the game uses DirectX. Also, 3dfx says they are working on a project with AMD concerning their new K6-3D, but did not say exactly what it was. My guess is, they are working on K6-3D support in Glide (3dfx's 3D API, which is used in a *lot* of games). If this turns out to be true, K6-3D will have a large advanatage in almost all areas compared to P2 processors.
