DRAM -> dynamic ram, must be accessed every 4ms, otherwise looses data
SRAM -> staric ram, sometimes faster than DRAM therefore used for cache 
        that directly feeds the CPU
VRAM -> Videoram     Special Memory chip for VGA cards

Synchronous RAM  similar to SRAM, used in CPU-cache, but data are read 
out in bursts and fed directly to the PIPE of the CPU, makes it extremely 
fast.
