I have from the days of my old PC-AT, a 16450-based IO card. It is too inefficient for the 14.4 Sportster and the 25MHz 386 board I'm running. A while ago I'm sure I read that there was a replacement 16550 chip that would replace the '450 pin for pin. Is it worth pursuing? (PLEASE EMAIL ME if you can spare the advice). Lots of love, Matt.
