Talking of backup problems, I'm using a 16 meg ED RAM, 486 DX/4 100 and an
Adapted VL bus SCSI card.
GNU tar and cpio work fine under DOS, but if I do a big backup under NT,
( big is about 1.75 gig ), it usually crashes NT back to a blue screen of
death hex dump after doing a few hundred meg. I don't often see it get to
the veryfy, but if it does, it seldom survives that either.
Sometimes when it crashes, it trashes the file system. Of course, you could
always restore from backup if you could make them !
Has anybody else had or solved this problem ?
